San Domenico has been a true God sent to my family. Our son wanted to attend boarding school as joint parenting for 12 of his 14 years had some challenges. My son toured 3 boarding schools and liked them all, but LOVED San Domenico! My son got in and has absolutely flourished! He's become independent and accountable and built strong relationships with all kids from K-12. The teachers and faculty have embraced our family in supportive ways and they've
allowed space for my son to be the best he can be.

An absolutely lovely school with a warm, kind, welcoming community. We were looking for such a community when we toured schools since we found that so many schools in Marin have top-notch academics, but they don't always pay close attention to the social/emotional development of their young students. San Domenico purposely considers both. Our son feels challenged academically while feeling supported and valued. He is so engaged with the curriculum--way more than I was at his age. I wish I could go back to school. And the campus! Gorgeous and peaceful. It smells like redwood trees.
My four years at SD have certainly enabled positive transformations with regards to my intellectual curiosity, social confidence, and academic & athletic achievement. With the school's robust mentoring and college preparatory programs at my side, I have been able to thrive within a rigorous environment. My satisfaction and success have also been enabled by the incredibly supportive group that I was able to establish as a result of SD's impressive diversity. My experience is certainly not unique – rather it is ubiquitous amongst my peers. If a student is hoping to experience the satisfaction of thriving in a challenging environment while also building relationships with compassionate friends and encouraging instructors, I would strongly encourage them to consider spending four of their most transformative years at San Domenico.
