There are a lot of issues that are faced by students who attend the school. There is a lack of opportunity, along with a subpar education for a ridiculous amount of money each month. The teachers are normally not qualified for their teaching position, and they are rigid in they're leniency and help for students who face difficulty with at-home issues compared to public institutions. I have attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, and the students here are advanced and well-prepared for college in comparison to students at the Academy. However, there are a plethora of activities at San Diego Academy, along with a small student population for a 5-1 ratio for students to teachers. The sports program is flourishing, and the music program is doing well. Overall, this school is a school is a great place for Adventists and for Christians who deem their religious beliefs as a bigger priority than academic success.
A nice Christian environment with amazing Praise Team leaders leading out worship during chapels. Teachers give great advice, and thorough critiques on projects. Lunch is always provided, not too expensive, with decent meals. Everyone is warm welcoming to new students and make them fit in.
San Diego Academy offers an opportunity for students to grow closer with Christ. Although the school lacks extracurricular activities for students, they do the best with the resources they have and strive to make each student’s experience memorable.
