One of Sammamish's titular aspects is its exceptance of diversity. Teachers, Staff, and many community leaders are eager to bring the school together and form a tight well-meaning community. If you are looking for a school where you won't stick out for just moving in, or your race, or sexuality etc, then this could be the place for you!
A few noteworthy weaknesses in Sammamish. The first is athletics. We do have some decent sports teams, at the time I went, we excelled at Girl's Basketball and Tennis, but beyond that we lack. I also thought the school was a little TOO zealous on it's 'diversity and all acceptance' policy. There's also a dying sense of... community, you could say. You have the school pushing acceptance and diversity but meaningful school gatherings like dances, events for entire grades, and fairs that involve parents more have died out.

Sammamish High School is a diverse community of students from different backgrounds who cherish their similarities and eagerly embrace their differences. I've had an amazing experience attending Sammamish. The school staff are always putting in effort to support all the students equitably, focusing on various life aspects including academics, school safety, mental health, and building community. The majority of the students challenge themselves academically by taking AP courses, which Sammamish offers to a great extent. They also have many opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, volunteer opportunities, and more. Sammamish also values diversity, which is why the school strongly considers minority students as an important part of our community. Sammamish also focuses on preparing students for college and/or other pathways available after graduation, while encouraging minority students to attend college after high school.
I love Sammamish! I live out of district, and am so glad I switched schools to go here. The STEM programs are top tier, and the teachers are friendly and knowledgeable. The staff is very understanding and all of the students are friendly. Overall, the school is impeccable! My four years at SHS have been amazing, and I wouldn't trade them to go to any other school. I feel prepared for college, but I do recommend taking the AP courses if that's something that interests you as the non-AP courses can get boring or a little rowdy, but no more than any public institution.
