There is no other school like Salt brook! The teachers are caring and kind. They are genuinely interested in each student. Having been in salt brook since kindergarten(I just graduated sixth grade) I always had the best teachers. There is also a great guidance team. They listen to any problems. The school should spend less money on digital devices and get air conditioning. All in all, salt brook is the best school ever and I am sad to be leaving
My child had a terrible experience at that school being bullied and treated unfairly. Please don’t let the numbers be the only reason you make your decision which was my mistake.
We have 2 children going to Salt Brook. Both of them began their Kindergarten year there and have continued their elementary education there. The teachers are amazing with the students. Both my children have loved every teacher they had at Salt Brook. They welcome lots of parent involvement in the classroom and with the students. And they show genuine care for the students. The teachers are knowledgeable and dedicated. We are extremely happy with the school system.
Great school and amazing teachers. They were very responsive to my issues and very warm and friendly to the kids and parents. Also the music program is excellent. They had a group 4th graders play at what would look like a 6th grader level in no time. The administration is very responsive and because this is a small district we had very good discussions with the board of Ed. They listen to the parents concerns and adjusted the curriculum to include more STEM into the education without compromising music, language and arts offerings.
If you are not "normal" (not white or need any help as far as special ed or are working parent) you are doomed to fail. Some of the teachers really try hard and care for their students others just want a paycheck. The principal wants everyone to be perfect and sweeps all issues under the rug to continue to get a giant salary as well as her Awards. But if you are very smart, commited to all Athletics and have a parent that can be involved with every single function 24/7 you will succeed. It is very wealthy town with most of the moms staying home.
