Our son went to a great public high school for freshman and sophomore year and is an honor student. He always wanted to go to prep school and he is an avid hockey and lacrosse player. He is now in his first year at Salisbury and is repeating his sophomore year. He cannot be happier with his decision and obviously that makes us as parents extremely happy. Coincidentally, we could not have picked a better time due to Covid. He is actually going to classes and having a real high school experience as opposed to if he had still been home at his former High School being subject to almost 100% online classes and no competitive sports. Overall Salisbury gets five stars for all the work they put in to make our sons experience in high school educationally, athletically, and as a gentleman, something that will no doubt have him continue to achieve high standards when he goes to college and throughout his entire life.
After graduating more than ten years ago, I can still say that attending Salisbury was one of the best life decisions I have made. Salisbury has an extremely tight-knit culture that is keenly focused on developing the character of young boys into young adults. Lastly, Salisbury's greatest gift is the enduring connection between students in the years after graduating - my Salisbury friends are still the closest and most dependable that I have after all these years.
Salisbury is a great community. It is easy to get used to the all boys environment because everyone gets along since it is a community of brothers. Teachers are awesome and make the classes engaging and fun.
Our son has thrived at Salisbury. As a student, athlete and leader. Salisbury knows boys and understands how best to engage them in the classroom and within the community, brining out the best of each Salisbury boy. The faculty are supportive and care deeply about the students and the school. The Learning Center has been a phenomenal resource for our son to boost his confidence and help him learn the skills of a responsible and passionate student.
Our son is in his third year at Salisbury. His transformation from a boy into a young man has been remarkable. He has developed a sense of responsibility for his academics and his curiosity has been ignited. He has been encouraged by faculty to take advantage of new opportunities and stretch beyond his comfort zone, taking photography, film, and began rowing crew. The friendships he has formed are amazing, the sense of brotherhood and community is what makes Salisbury special.
Salisbury flat out understands teenage boys. The faculty is all in to help out every boy. There is no other place for a teenage boy.
Salisbury has prepared me to go to the college I want. Without Salisbury, I do not know where I would be. Being at Salisbury has prepared me for the difficulty of adjusting to college life and college academics.
Salisbury took me in as a scared young boy, and turned me in to a mature gentleman. I loved my time at Salisbury, and often miss the gathering each day with my Salisbury brothers.
I would be very hard pressed to find a bad thing to say about my experience at Salisbury School. The emphasis on developing young men academically, athletically, and socially is unmatched. Some of my best friends I have were made in my short time there, and with how diverse the school community is there is no trouble finding people to fit in with. An incredible experience I would recommend to any young man in the grade 9-12 range.
I was a transfer student from Germany and I had an awesome time at Salisbury. They offered me a great environment to grow academically, athletically and socially. Having graduated a couple of years ago, I still feel a close connection with the school and am looking forward to come back soon.
Nestled in the beautiful, healthy hills of CT, a school “doing everything right for boys!” A great place to raise a family and live.
Amazing experience, athletically, socially and most importantly academically. I am so happy I attended Salisbury and will never forget the four memorable years I spent on the hilltop.
I originally came to salisbury to play lacrosse, I wasn't interested in much else aside from lacrosse. I can confidently say now that I have bought into the community and brotherhood here at Salisbury. It is extremely easy to buy into the community here, everyone is extremely nice and outgoing. Another thing I noticed about Salisbury in my one year here, is how my teachers always have my back and truly care about me being successful. They go the extra mile for you to make sure that you are successful. The athletic facilities are truly remarkable and our sports teams utilize the facilities to the fullest. I have gotten to make friends who live all over the world, something I have never experienced before. I have two and a half more years here on the hilltop and I am looking forward to them. I have learned so much from this school in this little town in Connecticut and will use the skills I have learned here for the rest of my life.
What a wonderful place, coming to the Salisbury School for a repeated junior year was the best decision I have ever made. The people and relationships are outstanding but even more, it prepared me for the next step in life. My maturity, academic performance, and athletic career have evolved ten-fold. Thank you to all the staff and students for making such a pivotal and memorable experience!
If you are contemplating on a place where you can go and no one will judge your opinions and support you get the things you need to do to archive your dreams then Salisbury is the place for you.
Salisbury is an amazing place. I love it here, and I‘m happy to spend much more time with all the boys I met, since I came to the hilltop!
I’ve been at this school for two years and it’s been awesome. I had two brothers go here before me and they loved it as well.
Salisbury opens opportunity for everyone. The brotherhood is unlike anywhere else. The welcoming feel you get when you walk on to the campus is amazing.
Has been the best experience of my life. The friendships I have made will last a lifetime. Forever grateful for my time at Salisbury.
Great video. Love the attention to quality. Seems like a great community of boys and great facility as well.
