I took advantage of my high school experience to the fullest, and Salinas High School truly provided all the tools to succeed. This school was the best public school in town, and it lived up to its name. The counselors were not all helpful, but there were always options for assistance. The sports program was great despite some coaches, but they were fairly successful for the most part. Additionally, there were many clubs that allowed the students to get involved with great opportunities to look good for college applications. This school also pushed students to take part in community service and provided many options which not all schools do. The student body took great pride in the campus; this made high school memorable. Thus, Salinas High School provided various opportunities for students to succeed and have a memorable experience.

I like how Salinas High School offers a large variety of classes that most other schools do not offer. Also, my school is extremely engaged when it comes to school spirit. I have never been to an athletic game where all of my fellow students arent decked out in purple ready to cheer on their teams. We are all like one big family. All of the teachers and administration at my school are very helpful when it comes to anything we need. My favorite thing about Salinas high is our Gear Up center where I have gotten help with anything I need regarding my future, like FAFSA and college applications. All students here are also offered free lunch, no matter your income, and the food is always delicious. School dances, food fairs, and homecoming parades are also very fun and a good way to interact with other students and the community. Overall, Salinas High is very impressive in my eyes and I could never imagine myself at a different school.
Overall, I've had a very pleasant experience with Salinas High School, but there're a few sectors where I think there's room for improvement. The school itself is beautiful and one of the oldest in the US, having a very established culture already. The staff is helpful and passionate, and the school offers many activities and opportunities. However, I've had problem with the efficiency of the communication system in school. Sometimes information isn't delivered to the students in an efficient manner and important dates and events are things that students have to search for at times. The lack of communication and efficiency is about all I have to complain about with Salinas High.
