The school is very inclusive with their students. Always avaliable to help whenever needed and also avaliable when a student needs someone to talk to. The reason why I give a four star rating is due to some of my experiences with teachers. Some teachers has close connections with students, which is awesome to have! Unfortunately other unfavorited students do not get the same treatment, it is rather worst. My experience with my Freshman and Sophmore Englsh teacher was by far the worst. Some days she acted as if I wasn't there, and others she would call me out in front of the entire class just to embarrass me. This happened commonly with the students who looked as if they lived in poverty/lower class, or others who are not as educated as her favorited students.
I truly loved the staff that worked at this high school. The teachers that they employ really care about the student and work hard to accommodate and help the student. Not only this, but the sports culture in particular was something else that stood out to me. Whether it was watching Friday night football at the stadium or standing in the basketball stand in the gym, it was always great to be apart of the crowd. Then, it was also great if you were able to be on one of the sports teams. For me, being on the women's basketball team was the most beneficial and helped me build character. Though, joining any team or club that will allow you to be involved is something that is accessible adn available at Salina Central to help optimize your time there.
Salina Central has some good points. It’s music program is wonderful and they have wonderful teachers for those classes. The rest of the school is less so. There is a lot of behavioral issues at this school that don’t seem to be solved fast enough. Throughout the past four years the school has had some major changes that did help Central, however there is still much room for improvement.
