Salesianum has a name to uphold. So do the students there. They like to use the phrase,"you students are standing on the shoulders of giants," and they are correct. But what goes largely unnoticed is that many of the students themselves are already well on their way to growing to sizes of larger proportions while being supported by each other and the amazing faculty at the school. I honestly really did not want to go to Sallies when picking out high schools, but with parents like mine, I never had the freedom to choose. Yet some how I come to be satisfied with the decision that was made. The athletics are top notch, musical productions never disappointed, there was always an activity to take part in or game to be played. The academics were great not just because of the entire extremely competent teachers, but also because of the many bright young individuals working their hardest. In the end I was very happy to have graduated from Salesianum and to have found a home with those I'd met
Excellent school in every aspect. Academically my son was well prepared for college. He received many huge scholarships to wonderful colleges and has transitioned easily. He was involved in many sports and activities and enjoyed his four years there immensely. The brotherhood is something that can not be found at any other school. For those concerned with lack of interaction with female students, my son had exchange classes at Ursuline and Padua both junior and senior year. He attended many sporting events, shows, dances and proms and had many female friends at these schools that he is still friends with now. We loved Salesianum...best choice!
The Salesianum School has helped our son identify his academic strengths and new ways of creative thinking. The school atmosphere is very positive and your not just a number. The teachers care about their students overall well-being and there's a support staff to assist with any and all issues. The school staff consistently kept the parents informed of school happenings, community events as well as staff and curriculum changes. There's an excellent parent volunteer group that's involved in all school events.
