Salem Community High School Reviews
Rating 2.95 out of 5 78 reviews
This school is great because of its diverse class options and avaliable dual credit. Salem High also has three councilers that are able and willing to assist future planning. The clubs and sports are diverse and open to most people who try out or apply. The only downside to some sports are the overlooked policies, like activation, that cause more harm than good to the athletes. The school lunches are good and provide a variety of healthy fruits and veggies. The STEM classes are fit for everyone and provided at numerous levels, however the art and music department is slightly limited. Overall, this is a great school that provides great administration and college preperation.
My experience with Salem Community High school was good overall. However, I feel like I was outed opportunities that were right in front of me because they were given to other students they knew, personally.
SCHS is a wonderful student oriented school that cares for its kids and their teachers are dedicated. I have many teacher tell me personally that they care for their student as if they were their own children. Any student in this school is loved by all the teachers and staff, whether it be our superintendent, cooking staff, janitorial staff, or just the teachers. It goes both ways, the students love all of the teachers and staff, especially our wonderful head cook as well as our many loving janitors such as bubble gum Tom, who would always throw candy to the kids in the halls as the exited the building every Friday afternoon. Teachers are always willing to help their students better understand the subject that they are learning and many have agreed to come early or stay after school to help a student study. Even if a student has never had a certain teacher personally, that teacher is always willing to help them. I would never want to attend a high school other than SCHS.
