From Saint Joseph High School

Saint Joseph High School is a Catholic four-year college-preparatory high school for young women, a ministry of Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Rooted in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church and the rich history and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Saint Joseph High School prepares young women "to be all of which woman is capable."

This year we are celebrating 55 years as a Catholic School in the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. The CSJ vision was to establish a high school that would challenge students to become “all of which woman is capable” and to develop their potential in a spirit of “excellence tempered by gentleness, peace and joy”.

Over the years, our parents, guardians, faculty, staff and students have forged a partnership to carry out this mission. Together, we continue to challenge the mind and cultivate the spirit of each young woman, in a learning community that embodies our motto of “love, hope and zeal.”

It has been an amazing seven years at SJHS! Two of our daughters graduated from SJHS and we couldn't be more proud. It is an immaculate, safe campus. The grounds are maintained so beautifully. The courtyard, the chapel the classrooms, and the gym are all so warm and welcoming, as are the faculty and staff! It has been a pleasure getting to know so many wonderful girls and their families. The Catholic experience, such as Mass, prayer, and religion courses, are by far, the best part of attending SJHS!

I have had an amazing experience at Saint Joseph High School! The size of the school allows for deeper friendships and connections to be made and the teachers always have their doors open. The students take their studies very seriously which helps to push me to do my very best. The rallies and the ASB program provide a fun escape for the students and allow students to express themselves and their ideas. The only thing that I would like to see change is healthier options in the cafeteria and more female empowerment talks given at assemblies.
My experience at Saint Joesph High School has been very fun! I love all of the opportunities my high school has to offer and so much more. There’s so many different ways to meet new people and get involved. I have personally used these opportunities to help me better succeed. The teachers are very kind and always willing to help you if you’re struggling. They also offer many courses that are challenging and push you to your best ability. Saint Joseph’s exemplifies “all of which women is capable” by pushing us to try our best.
