Saint John's is a wonderful college preparatory school! The teachers are very knowledgeable and caring. They have access to college courses at Saint John's University. Dorm students come from all over the world. My son transferred in at 10th grade from a US public school and a couple of the teachers and the office staff, in particular, really went out of their way to help him navigate a very new environment. The school has many sports teams but they aren't very competitive, which has been frustrating for our son. The dorm can be a bit stifling over weekends. Dorm staff take kids places, including stores to get food for times when they can't get to the dining hall at the college. Saint John's is a terrific school that does a great job of preparing students for college and has a great group of teachers and staff.

Good school on a beautiful campus with amazing teachers who care about their students. Administration has some serious issues. Fails to deliver on students needs and is very out of touch. Spends money on things that we don't need when there are other things we need desperately. E-Learning rules have been detrimental to most student's abilities to learn successfully. Admin seems to care more about the needs of their kids and their friends than the rest of the student body. Very small school, so everybody knows your business. Academics are pretty good, too much busywork in some classes. Most classes, (especially science and literature classes) push students to think critically and creatively. Overall a good school.
In my opinion, Saint John’s Prep is among the best schools to attend for a high school student due to its rigorous academics, immense diversity and very accepting environment. Prior to Prep, I’ve always gone to a public school and when my dad told me I would be attending Prep, I was very anxious. I thought people would view me as an outsider and that I wouldn’t be able to make friends. Actually the opposite happened. I was introduced to a couple guys and soon I got to know the whole student body. Everyone is extremely nice, welcoming, and humble. My last two years at Prep have changed my life because of the many experiences I’ve encountered. I made friends from around the world while also achieving my goals academically all while being in a beautiful campus. The family of a community here at Prep is like none other!
