My experience was great! I loved the all girl aspect. Saint Gertrude helped me learn so much, and has really prepped me for college. The school makes sure to focus on the students growing as adults and as individuals. All of the faculty and staff are always very eager to help. Everyone is very welcoming and inviting. The school has many fun clubs, activities, and traditions to get involved with. I also love being able to practice and expand my faith in a safe and respectful environment. The uniforms are an added bonus to me.

Saint Gertrude High School ultimately changed my life before my eyes. Prior to attending SGHS, I was set on going to public school to be with my childhood friends. I had no desire to go to an all-girls private school and having to wear uniforms. Looking back on my entire high school experience at Saint Gertrude High School, I realized how much of a blessing it was to even have the chance to attend. Apart from my education, I was blessed to have been given around 50 sisters. The bonds made at Saint Gertrude with the unique experience of attending the school are like no other, and I wouldn't want to have it any other way. Especially with my senior year being cut short due to COVID-19, I truly was able to realize the strength of these bonds and the love that I have for each and every one of my classmates. Going forward, I would like to see more of an emphasis on this sisterhood in terms of bringing back a more impactful and prominent big/little sister program at the school.
Being surrounded by all women allowed me to have a voice. I gained confidence that I wouldn't have acquired if I attended another school. We all supported each other, lifted each other's spirits, and accepted one another. The size of the school and class sizes allowed you to have a closer relationship with the teachers, which ultimately helped you excel.

At the time, I griped about the many rules regarding our uniforms, grading scale, and the intense curriculum. However, I now understand the purpose and reap the benefits of the college prepatory curriculum, the structure, and how to follow rules and obey authority.
