This is our son’s first year at St. Andrew’s in Pre-K and we could not be happier for him! A year ago, we enrolled our son in a well-known, private school in Annapolis. The pedagogy quickly derailed unilaterally adopting a curriculum that did not reflect our values. St. Andrew’s aligns with our Christian values and teaches the same. Our son is enrolled in pre-k and is learning to focus, to be confident but also considerate. He is excited to attend each day and loves his friends and teachers. An enormous thank you to Jeff Southworth, the Director of Advancement & Admissions! So as not to make the same misstep of the previous school, we asked respectfully, but frankly, about subjects being taught. Relating our previous experience, the Director understood and acknowledged our apprehension. He was articulate in assuaging our concerns and for that we are grateful. I am optimistic that this model will hold true for the remainder of the time our son attends St. Andrew’s and in the future.
We are now in our fifth year of our children attending St. Andrews and have consistently found it to be a wonderful school! It’s a warm, welcoming community with a responsive, dedicated team of teachers and administrators. We appreciate St. Andrews’ appreciation and flexibility for individual differences and their emphasis on the whole child, not just teaching academics. We are grateful for the partnership we feel with St. Andrew’s towards ensuring our children’s well-being and success.
We have been at Saint Andrew's for 3 years now and we absolutely love it! The teachers have all been amazing, patient and kind. We appreciate that Saint Andrew's does not follow common core math and that they have small classes, so your child isn't getting lost in the mix. I recommend this school 100%.
