I am incredibly grateful my children are able to attend this extraordinary school! The faculty and staff fulfill the Sacred Heart mission daily by nurturing and supporting the whole child. Academics are rigorous, children are provided opportunities to give back to the community on a regular basis and kindness is truly valued and rewarded. I feel that both my daughter and son are thriving in the single gender classrooms and am very pleased with how the two genders are thoughtfully integrated with various coed activities. I truly believe the faculty and staff care deeply for each individual child. The families at Sacred Heart are warm and welcoming and this community has been the source of some of my most valued friendships. I would highly recommend Sacred Heart on Sheridan Road!

The school promotes confidence in each student, encouraging them to grow and achieve their own personal best all while focusing on the whole child with an emphasis on values and being global citizens. The curriculum adapts to each child to challenge and/or support them in various subjects. The many opportunities for the children to participate in giving back to the community appealed to our family as well as the single gender classroom with thoughtful integration of the boy and girls classes throughout each week. We love being members of this amazing community!
We have 3 recent Sacred Heart graduates and could not be happier with the education they received at SHS. We give Sacred Heart a healthy share of the credit for helping us form them into the lovely humans they are becoming/have become. The kids blossomed not only academically but also in extra-curricular activities: Science Olympiads, school musicals, choir, basketball, service at Misericordia, and volleyball. Two went to a city Catholic H.S. and one to a CPS selective enrollment H.S. They all transitioned well and were abundantly ready for the academic rigor and had the social skills to navigate larger schools. The friendships that we made at Sacred Heart as a family are lasting; we still count many of the parents of our children's friends among our closest friends. The community is nurturing and down-to-earth-- a well-grounded place to spend 9+ years!
