Our Son began his high school career at Sacred Heart. We are not a Catholic family and he had only been in public school prior to entering the 9th grade. We were not sure what to expect. Sacred Heart High School has not only met our expectations, it has exceeded them! The teachers are tough, yet caring. There is quite a bit of individual instruction. They take time to meet with students regularly outside of the classroom. The administration is efficient and quite capable. The small class size has given our son a real sense of community. All of the varsity sports are available to him and his high school experience (as we are entering into his final few semesters before graduation) has been challenging, rewarding and full of wonderful memories. We cannot say enough about this fabulous school.

Our kids will be leaving Sacred Heart - the quality of the teachers from year to year is too extreme - crossing your fingers to get a teacher who is passionate about teaching, practices Christian values and has good classroom management is no longer something We want to deal with while paying a tuition bill. The elementary school needs to overhaul their outdated practices of classroom management and get rid of the 1950s punitive approach to teaching children. If you have a child that doesn’t fit into their mold...be prepared to be called by a nun almost every day for every deviation no matter how small. If they addressed this, their class sizes would not be continuously shrinking every year.
My experience at Sacred Heart has been ok. I came to Sacred Heart in 9th grade, and had an ok time making friends. I have had experiences with very good teachers, and very bad teachers. Some teachers swear in class, and don’t really teach, as others truly push you to your academic potential. I do like the principal and vice principal. My biggest problem is with students, and how discipline at this school is so relaxed. I’ve seen students swear and threaten teachers with zero consequences. I’ve watched students in drink alcohol and vape on campus, openly swear in hallways and sit on their phones for entire classes, without consequence. The biggest thing I would like to see is the administration dose out a little discipline.
