I have been going to this school since I was 4 years old, so 13 years! I think that this is an amazing school to be at! Everyone knows everyone else, all the teachers know you and know what your needs are and they do their best to make sure all of your needs are met! It is not at every school that a senior can walk past a class of second graders and the second grader says the seniors name and the senior says the second graders name, this is how Sacred Heart Academy has such a close bond with each other. The small class setting is great for people to learn and be able to express themselves better and ask more questions without having to worry about being embarrassed or laughed at by their peers! This is truly a great school to be at!
My experience at Sacred Heart has been one to remember. The teachers are great at working one on one because the classes are so small. It's a blessing having a small class and teachers who care.
Sacred Heart Academy is an excellent high school for students that are serious about doing everything they can to get ahead in their future. The staff is amazing and accommodating. Their goal as a school is to better the students with challenging classes and offering college courses.
Sacred Heart Academy provides a wonderful faith-based K-12 education on one campus! The STEM program has greatly benefitted my children. The staff is dedicated to ensuring that all students succeed. I wouldn’t want my children anywhere else!
What I love most about Sacred Heart is the staff. All teachers are caring and encouraging, doing their best to ensure the success of students.
Sacred Heart Academy is the most welcoming environment I have ever been a part of. The students seem to genuinely like each other and the teachers have a genuine interest in bettering the students. As much 'hate reviewing' is on here about the principal, I have to say that she is absolutely excellent at her job and is always professional. She was a great hire and brings the light of faith and positivity to Sacred Heart everywhere she goes. Unfortunately, she takes a lot of heat from individuals who are opposed to the enforcing of rules that have been in place since before she was hired; however, being known as a rule follower is something she should be very proud of! Sacred Heart has been a fantastic resource for my children and a place where they have grown immensely. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, regardless of what religion they practice.
We have three children at Sacred Heart Academy. It is a school with high expectations for academics and behavior. Very successful athletics, Science Olympiad, Quiz Bowl, and family atmosphere. Students are well prepared for college. If you hold your children to high standards, Sacred Heart Academy is an excellent choice.
I attended from Kindergarten all the way through graduation and loved it! A very tight-knit family like atmosphere with a lot of good people around. Competitive extra curricular for almost any interest and a very strong athletic department . Located in downtown Mt. Pleasant, Sacred Heart is a very community oriented school and takes advantage of all the opportunities the get to serve those around them.
Sacred Heart Academy has small class sizes with high education goals. Teachers and staff are always putting in more than expected. I feel proud to be a part of a school where faith is also important.
At Sacred Heart, it is more than just a school. It is a family, truly, in every sense, bonded together by both mutual comradery and faith through works. The small class sizes encourage all kinds of relationships to be formed in a comfortable environment where students of all faiths, opinions, and backgrounds can safely share their thoughts. For such a small school, their voices are strong, and the impacts the graduates have on the world after they leave the Academy are huge and numerous
Sacred heart is the worst school, it is old and has no air conditioning so it 90 degrees in the summer, but you have to wear khakis and a polo or a crew neck which is $40
Sacred Heart Academy is a Catholic school striving for the highest standards in academics, athletics, and the arts, but most importantly in students' faith lives. I have been at the Academy for eight years now, and I become prouder of the institution every single day. I would recommend Sacred Heart without reservation for anyone, as we're always looking to grow the SHA family.
This school in education is just a joke. The only thing my child likes about this school is being able to play sports. High school is supposed to be a great and fun experience but this school takes that away and every weekend my child comes home with a paper or report.
I left with only fond memories of SHA.
I'm the captain of Science Olympiad, Model UN, and Quiz Bowl (the latter of which is a top-100 team in the nation). People at this school are extremely involved in academic extracurriculars, to say nothing of our athletic involvement. Our football program always does well in-conference, but because it has to play larger schools in playoffs, we have had trouble repeating our 2010 state championship performance. Volleyball has gotten five regional championships in a row, and girls basketball were the 2014 state champions. The girls cross country team this year was the 2nd-best in the nation among schools our size. This is the result of talent, passion, commitment, and institutional support.
There isn't a school nurse, but first aid around the school is pretty solid, and we recently purchased defibrillators for both the elementary and high school building. The Students for Students program has really curbed bullying, so that's turned into a non-issue. Personally speaking, I feel like our lockdown/tornado/fire safety plans could use some revision, but we frequently test and don't really run into problems on that front either.
