This school is overall great! The actual building is super big and still has a new feeling even though it has been around for quite a few years now. There are so many teachers at East which gives students so many opportunities to take different electives and AP classes. However, the school sometimes is so focused on providing many options that they ignore the quality of those options. There are many electives that have unqualified teachers teaching them.
The sports at East are really good, it's one of the most popular activities for students. The music and arts programs while still good are not nearly as openly supported as sports.
Because the school is so large, it allows you to be in a more competitive yet supportive environment. You really have to work hard in order to stand out in a class of at least 300 students. But I believe that having that large class size allowed me to be more driven as a student. It also gives you more friendship opportunities.

Sachem High School east is an amazing school with an amazing school district. The teachers are great, and show you they care. The guidance department is fantastic! There are so many opportunities available to students here through classes and clubs. I'm so grateful that Sachem East gave me a great environment to learn in and excel in my studies. I am lucky to have a school be so hard to say goodbye to.
Really nice campus! Staff doesn’t treat students with respect. Unfortunately you can get unlucky and get lackluster teachers, although I heard there are some nice ones.
