This school was very underfunded
We have a good amount of kids participate in sports. Fan support is unbelievable at some games because you can't even find a spot to sit. Our school spirit is very strong. Our weight room is open in the mornings and after school and you can also get a key to go in whenever you want.
Our school has about 2 or 3 plays every year that a lot of kids participate in. Our administration is very supportive in everything we do.
Our school isn't involved with a lot of bullying. A lot of the kids get along and don't have any troubles. We have drug dogs come in at least one a year. We don't have school police or metal detectors. I don't feel like we need to have them because our school isn't really a threat and I feel very safe in my school.
Most of the students are involved in either sports or extra curricular activities. Our school isn't involved in any peer pressure. We are a very accepting school of newcomers and everyone else.
I wouldn't of made it throughout my senior year so far if it wasn't for the school guidance counselors. They have helped me set up all my college classes and how to apply for scholarships. Our school is very against bullying and we have a lot of assemblies about them. If we miss 2 days we usually get detention.
I love Ruthven-Ayrshire because everybody knows everybody and we mostly all get along. I wouldn't of wanted to grow up in a big school. I have a great group of friends that I wouldn't trade the world for. We have great teachers that are always there when we need them.
The teachers are very easy to work with. If you need help with homework or anything really they will be there. They go above and beyond to make sure we know what were doing. The curriculum offered at Ruthven-Ayrshire is great. The workload is a reasonable amount.
The cafeteria is always very clean. The food has its good and bad days. We are on the Healthy Kids Act so our lunches are always very healthy.
All teachers and support staff are there for the kids. If my kids have ever had questions or concerns staff has gone out of there way to teach and/or assist them.
All the teachers work very hard to assist the student. I have not had any that didn't work on any problem I addressed.
Spirit and support for athletics is very strong.
This is a hard topic due to recently purchasing computers for every student. I feel they are trying to keep up with area school and are doing quite well at it.
My kids go to a very small, rural high school. It is difficult to provide all the programming possible but the work at it and at times will work with an individual child to improve their experience.
