My experience at Royal is like every other high school life. I created relationships with my teachers. Many of them are actually high school alumni or either grew up in Simi. I participated in clubs, there are many clubs offered that involve all types of students' interests. The student life is very interesting. Sports or school functions are widely promoted to all students to participate in. The most fun of them is football games and dances. You really feel part of the school when attending them. They offer all sorts of classes ranging from CP to AP or IB classes. However, the diversity in these challenging classes are very low, the teachers still do their best to try to involve all the students to try them out. The resources offered for these classes are very good and try to accommodate the student. The lower prices to suit your financial situations of the students with low income. All in all Royal High School is a good suburban high school that includes the needs of all.

As a seniors looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing about my Royal experience. Some of the highlights I have experienced has been Royal’s AP and IB programs. Both programs have teachers and staff members who go out of their way to make sure each student succeeds to the best of their ability. Not only have the teachers been supportive, but also the administration, who constantly try their best to make the students proud to be a Royal Highlander. Although our sports are no all star teams, they still cultivate a culture of hard work and sportsmanship in each sport. My last highlight is the Highlander cafe they opened last year, which has improved the food choice at Royal tremendously. Overall I loved attending Royal high school and will miss it once I graduate this June.
The all around school spirit is suburb compared to other schools! The teachers will play favorites like all, but the majority of them are truly there to watch your well-being as a student.
