My overall experience at Roxbury Preparatory Charter High School was, to say the least bittersweet. Roxbury Prep provided students with numerous rigorous courses from freshman year to senior year, the workload and AP classes are a struggle however is going to prepare me for college. Roxbury Prep is a very strict school it is very hard to navigate on your while in the school because the rules are very strict, therefore making my high school experience, not a fun one. However Roxbury Prep is an overall diverse and tight-knit school, the student and teacher relationships are very close, the teachers know the student's individual needs and find new ways to support each student individually. I never felt alone at Roxbury Prep because the teachers were always there to support and guide me, whenever I had a question about the college process my college counselor always took the time to provide me with additional resources and advice that helped make my college process go by fairly smooth.

Roxbury Prep provides a very high level of curricular activities for its students from middle school to high school. It also teaches the student the responsibility as well as the work ethic required to enter, succeed and graduate college. It can be seen in its 2019 senior class college acceptance rate and many Alumni.
I loved how there is multiple AP class for you to choose from and love how they make you take those classes. The reason I say this is because without this school making me take AP class I probably wouldn't have taken them if I had the choice between taking a regular class and an AP class. Being forced to take these classes has shown me that I am capable of taking AP level classes and that there was nothing to fear. The only thing that I would change about this school is the punishment system because I believe it's too much and over the top. For example you can get detention for not having no belt on or detention for coming late to class.
