Following a Socratic approach to learning, teachers build a strong relationship with students that not only makes it easier to seek aid or advice from them but also makes the learning experience that much more enjoyable. Teachers even become mentors or friends were students can really connect to a teacher with the same interests and build that relationship. Sharing a coffee, or entertaining interesting conversations is not new in Ross between students and teachers. That is what makes Ross teachers great, the fact that they are willing to go above and beyond to help a student grow inside and outside the classroom.

I am in my first year at Ross and one of the things that I have noticed in the first few days was the incredible relationship between students and teachers. It feels like they genuinely care about you as they help you in any possible way to succeed at Ross but also challenge you and push you to develop academically and personally. One of the other things that is very unique, is the way how Ross introduces history, with the spiral curriculum, to the students as they connect various themes with almost all of the classes. As I am a boarding student, Ross helped me to become more independent and learn how to respect and build friendships with students different cultures. I am certain that I have gained friends for life from every part of the world. In total, I would definitely recommend Ross to everybody who would like to experience a unique style of learning that will benefit you in your future career and personal life.
Ross has a very unique boarding experience. Instead of using in-campus dorms, Ross has boarding houses 10-15 minutes away from campus. Generally the boarding houses consist of 8-15 students and 2 house parents. It is very easy to adapt to this boarding system because it feels like home. Also, it shows me how to very independent. It gives me a lot of freedom, and it teaches me to start behaving as an adult. The sense of community in the boarding house is amazing. We can always count on each other and have a great time. On weekends we can go to town together, as it is very safe, have breakfast, a coffee, or just hang out. If I ever feel alone my friends will always be there, and res-life (the teachers that are responsable for borders) are extremely supportive, and will always help with any request I have. Over all Ross is an amazing school and what makes it a unique is its amazing boarding program.
