Rosie Sorrells is phenomenal! The teachers there are so driven and they pass that on to the students. The principal there- Dr. Brown- is the cherry on top. The teachers provide an environment in which students have a safe haven. At Rosie Sorrells, when you describe a teacher, you find someone who is willing to listen to you, cater to your needs, give personal advice, provide food when in need. They are perfect!

It's a good school. Everything is just fine. There are some great teachers and some horrible teachers. I've been lucky enough to have pretty good teachers throughout my high school career, though. Like a lot of DISD schools, the security is just piss-poor. It's way too easy to get into school without even being checked. Luckily though there haven't been any incidents, but if anyone has the motivation, they're in luck. I wish my school did a better job with college readiness too. We have one college counselor distributed throughout three schools within this building, the SAT preparation class that our school provides could be so much better, and our cluster teachers could have more knowledge on the whole college process. But overall, I think it was just a fine experience, and if you take advantage of the resources the school provides, you can have an enjoyable time.
Rosie Sorrells High School has taught me so much. This school focuses on your future career goals and prepares you in so many aspects. Through my school I’ve gotten the opportunity to intern in a pre-k class which has given me a great hands on experience as being a teacher which one day will hopefully be my profession. Us students also had the opportunity to take an ACT/SAT prep class that helped us get ready and tackle our tests. What this school does best is prepare you, in life and in future career goals. Whether it be through intern, a money matters class, and our cluster classes, everything this school offers will greatly impact a student. The teachers are all great, all have such different but effective teaching methods. It truly feels like a family in my school and I’m emensly proud to call Rosie Sorrells School of Education and Social Services my home.
