The community around Rosewood is normally described as "tight-knit" or "like a family". While I'm not extraordinarily close with anyone in this community, I will say that being in Rosewood is like being at a family cookout, you know everyone and everyone knows you. I could even go to our local Walmart and point out five people I know. Rosewood High School is also really good at developing their students into hard-working individuals. In a lot of cases, if someone from Rosewood doesn't choose the college route, you can find them running a successful local business or close to developing a new brand. Overall, Wayne County has a lot of schools to choose from, but Rosewood will give you the best results.

Rosewood is not a good school. I graduated from there, and it did not prepare me for college, or for the real world, away from Goldsboro, and Wayne County. It's become a "white flight" school, since its minority ratios are relatively low. It needs more minority students!
The academics of Rosewood are consistently weak, and not a large percentage of graduates go on to four year universities. Rosewood would not be my first choice in Wayne County.
My experience at Rosewood High School has had some good and some bad moments. I would say that overall the school spirit at Rosewood High is out of this world, we always have the best school spirit around. The Rosewood community is really small so I have known everyone since elementary school and Rosewood is a very supportive and loving community. On the other hand there are some things about Rosewood that could be better. The education isn’t that great. The school system doesn’t really prepare us students for college like they should. The test score numbers at Rosewood tend to be a little lower than at other schools and I would like to see the test scores and grades get higher, the change in common core could really help that. I really want to be more prepared for college and change in common core could really help more students be prepared for college and for the real world.
