When I first arrived at Roosevelt High School, I had a warm welcome from the teachers, and school staff, freshman year was the best of all, we had a lot of celebrations, as, Hispanic Heritage, Black Heritage, Chinese New Year, even Christmas eve. Every year at Roosevelt I've learned a lot, not only academically but personally, to be responsible, caring, I've learned to be proud of my achievements, every semester there is an honor roll awarded, for all students that work hard. The teachers are amazing, I love to have hard college level classes, there is AP Spanish and AP English, that helped my bilingual skills, also there is a lot of diversity, even though racism remains inside of class, that as well as the not so fresh food given to the future professional's, has to change, for the well being of the students, also students need a street law class to gain important knowledge, that will help in future personal decisions. I hope that Roosevelt will keep improving in all aspects.
My experience at Roosevelt Senior High School, was wonderful the staff at Roosevelt is great they truly care about there students, they get you ready for the real world, they make sure that you succeed and be the best person you can be . The wonderful teaching staff I truly believe is the best in the DMV. I would not be the student that I am today with out them. I truly love them and appreciate them, I am truly going to miss them dearly.
Roosevelt is one of those schools I saw very much potential in, the only problem was consistency! The school cannot keep teachers, staff, nor administrators! Students can’t grow academically without the full support needed within a school
