Roosevelt High School Reviews
Rating 3.95 out of 5 418 reviews
I took the hardest classes I could throughout all 4 years of high school. Since I graduated this year, I have yet to experience college. However, high school to me was quite exciting. Going to class everyday inspired me to learn as much as I could. The teachers are great at teaching and are amazing mentors. I enjoyed not just the academics, but also events that the school hosted and the extracurriculars that school made available. I participated in clubs such as DECA, HOSA, SALSA, Track, Student Council, Chess Club, Spanish Club, NHS, SNHS, and NHD, where I made many life-long friends. And events such as Homecoming and formal allowed me to embrace school spirit! Going to Roosevelt High School enabled me to find my purpose in life and I could never really imagine going to a different high school.
Roosevelt is very well operated High School that has a numerous amount of opportunity for all of its students. The staff and administrators are dedicated individuals who provide resources that make Roosevelt thrive. While my overall experience at Roosevelt is positive, a large school is not without its downsides such as a few teachers that don't feel fully dedicated or some rare disruptive fights. With that being said, I can strongly recommend Roosevelt to other students and parents due to the high quality of education, abundance of activities and sports, and the comfortable environment which makes Roosevelt home.
The best part about Roosevelt High school is the friendships I’ve made. I seriously thought I was going to be lonely for the rest of my life. Roosevelt High School truly took me outside of my comfort zone and allowed me to explore more things which allowed me to meet many new people, including my best friend. I also feel like Roosevelt High School allows lots of freedom, but also puts certain rules in place to insure the students and staff safety. The worst part about Roosevelt High School or just high school in general is probably the insane amount of homework given and the popular girls who decrease your self esteem. Throughout my life I have had a negative mindset. No matter what I looked on the downside. That mindset started improving, until I got to high school. At Roosevelt High school or in any high school I feel like it’s really hard to be yourself. The school promotes being kind and treating others the way you want to be treated, but the popular girls think otherwise.
