Roosevelt High School offers fantastic opportunities for students interested in every field. Roosevelt's students excel in the Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Fine Arts and Athletics, all thanks to the excellent staff. The teachers at this school genuinely care about their pupil's wellbeing and success, offering different styles of learning to accommodate for the diverse student population. I have built close connections with my teachers and with my peers, benefitting from an interactive curriculum and fun extracurriculars. My only complaints would be the overcrowding that happens within our school due to it being the most populated high school in the state; however, efforts are being made to resolve this issue as a new high school in the Sioux Falls school district is being made to account for the overflow. Roosevelt High School has allowed me to create memories that I will carry with me for a life time and has helped me determine my passion and future degree.
My experience at Roosevelt High School was quite amazing yet sometimes I can’t lie was boring. Homecoming events were really great and all but the dances to me were always to loud for me. Most of teachers who have helped me here are wonderful. I have one particular teacher that inspired me to become someone but I’ll keep that one to myself. I meet a few interested people during my time here and they were great people. Although there was times during school where we faced a scary event. But good people were their to protect us and luckily nothing bad happened. I wished senior year ended a bit more happy but I can do is accept all the great moments I had here at Roosevelt High School. Go ROUGH RIDERS!
I loved the school I chose right out of eighth grade and I wouldn't want it any other way! As I'm graduating, I've noticed all the opportunities and help the teachers and counselors at Roosevelt was able to give me to build my own successful future! My school was very large, a graduating class of four hundred ninety six people! That might scare some people, but I find myself lucky to be able to get to know so many different people that have changed my life for the better! The school was full of leadership, and very motivating people. I'm thankful I was able to be apart of such a strong and helpful community all those years!
