Alright, so, in general, this school is an offensive wasteland with rude teachers, terrible food, an unprofessional staff, and other things. Children are made to go somewhere they don't want to be by this school. This school is legitimately the worst educational institution I have ever encountered. Because this school doesn't care about its students and has a tight budget, it is strongly advised that you do not bring your children there. You will only make their lives terrible and depressing.
While being at Roosevelt High School, I really enjoyed getting closer to all of my teachers. I played sports, volleyball, basketball, and track, during the first two years. I definitely loved how my track team felt like family. I also loved playing basketball and competing with my teammates. Academically, I have learned so much over the years. Thanks to all of my teachers for putting in all of their hard work and effort to make sure my peers and I are able to learn. I thank them so much for all they do and for being there when I needed it most. Overall, I loved my experience at Roosevelt High School and am so thankful.
Got me the education I needed for college, but nothing really more. I enjoyed the small clubs and groups I was apart of, but that's about it.
What I truly enjoy about Roosevelt high school; is the clubs such as interact our community service club, FFA which we have National awards for. As well as the staff at Roosevelt they are all so kind and show great leader ship whether it’s the Janitors or the Principal.
I liked how close the community is. The only problem I had was how the staff, because there was so much turn over. I wish there were more options for classes and clubs.
I think the teaching styles are very good, but some can be improved. Sports have a great team culture, and everyone cares for each other.
This school is alright. There is not much to write home about, but many of the classes, if you pay attention, will put you on track for college. Their music department, unfortunately, is not very well funded. This school has welcoming people; there aren't really any "bullies" just people who aren't the kindest.
I really enjoyed the environment. I wish that teacher evaluations were done more often. I would also like to see more classes that get students really ready for life after high school.
Roosevelt is a great school for a small town. The diversity and connections you make and see fills the school with happiness. My time at roosevelt has been a delight, I have had many accomplishments such as bringing a gpa up 8 points, as well as making honor roll. I have learned from the hard and good days. I have had amazing support and encouragement from great staff. It will be a school I will miss
Roosevelt has a staff who genuinely cares about their students. As a son of a teacher who works there, I can attest to how much work teachers put in that students just do not see. The school is overflowing and full of people. Classroom sizes are larger than ever and we are in need of a new school for the large amount of students in the district. Overall, besides having large classes, the school is very nice and has a lot of extracurricular for students.
Roosevelt has gone through a lot of change in the last year. Both good and both bad. But I truly believe that the school was amazing before and is becoming even more amazing as these changes settle in.
Some things I love about Roosevelt High School is the community that comes with it. The whole town, which is relativity small, comes together for football games and volleyball games. I love how most of our coaches are our teachers. Not all teachers are as dedicated as others but we still receive the average education. I believe some of academic programs could use some adjustments. Other than those flaws I enjoy this small town school.
Roosevelt high school is a very good school but there are some parts of the school they can definitely improve on. For example they can improve on getting students ready for college only some of my teacher that I had during my 4 years at Roosevelt made me feel like I was preparing for college. They could also improve on their facilities that are open to the students they do not have many facilities that are open to the students and that benefit the students in any way. Other then those areas I believe that Roosevelt High School is a very good school as a whole they have a great parent involvement when it comes to sporting activities or musical arts. The school culture is one of the best things at Roosevelt you go walking through the halls and lots of the students are wearing riders gear and lots of those students participate in the sporting events that happen throughout the whole entire school year.
Overall the education was fair. Unfortunately the town is having a hard time getting a bond or mill levy passed. This results in students attending class in hallways and common areas rather than in a classroom. Class sizes are above average, which means students do not receive any sort of individualized learning experiences. Teachers are too often stretched too thin which interferes with the quality of education provided.
Roosevelt High School to many of its students and staff is considered a community. Attending this school allows a student to receive not only a great education but the love and support of its’ people. It has something for everybody and the staff genuinely tries to recognize what is best for the students. For the small school Roosevelt is, I would say it produces great minds!
Roosevelt is like most high schools. It appears average, nothing out of the ordinary, but the community that Roosevelt resides in, is unique. Our community is a family. When someone in the community is struggling, everyone comes together to support. This community is so special and unlike anywhere else I have lived.
Roosevelt is a fine school. It’s great when people get really involved, but some things could use some work.
