Roosevelt High School to many of its students and staff is considered a community. Attending this school allows a student to receive not only a great education but the love and support of its’ people. It has something for everybody and the staff genuinely tries to recognize what is best for the students. For the small school Roosevelt is, I would say it produces great minds!
Overall the education was fair. Unfortunately the town is having a hard time getting a bond or mill levy passed. This results in students attending class in hallways and common areas rather than in a classroom. Class sizes are above average, which means students do not receive any sort of individualized learning experiences. Teachers are too often stretched too thin which interferes with the quality of education provided.
Some things I love about Roosevelt High School is the community that comes with it. The whole town, which is relativity small, comes together for football games and volleyball games. I love how most of our coaches are our teachers. Not all teachers are as dedicated as others but we still receive the average education. I believe some of academic programs could use some adjustments. Other than those flaws I enjoy this small town school.
