Ron Brown College Preparatory High School Reviews

Ron Brown taught me the true meaning of brotherhood. Students at this school came from a variety of socio economic backgrounds, and no one was ever treated differently. We formed study/work groups to ensure everyone was grasping the lesson plans, completing projects , and would pass. The staff at Ron Brown was supportive in every way. Teachers reached out to parents with a natural concern when students were absent, and also made sure we received all make up work, even if they had to drop it off themselves. We were offered great opportunities, such as being mentors for an elementary school in the neighborhood, paid internships which taught us networking, independence, and professionalism. I am fortunate to have gained skills outside of the classroom to help me move forward in life. If I could change one thing about Ron Brown, it would be mandatory uniforms for grades 9-12 that include a blazer. When you look good, you feel good. It is important to look the part, and always be ready.

I love my school, Ron Brown College Prep High School, located in ward 7 of Washington, D.C. This is the first all males school in Washington, D.C. and I am proud to say that I will be an active participant of the first graduating class June 2020. The staff has supported me throughout my entire career as a high school student, and they continue to push me beyond what I am comfortable doing as a student and athlete. I appreciate being in a safe environment, where learning is the priority, and academic rigor is always the only option.
Ron Brown College Preparatory High School is a family friendly environment that welcomes young boys and promotes them to excel in all they do.
