My name is DeAndra Bryant. I have been attending Rocky Mount Preparatory since kindergarten. A few things I was pleased by from Rocky Mount Preparatory School was: the extra curricular activities, the assembly’s, the teachers that cared about my education as if I were their child, etc. I am now a junior. A few things that could be changed to make this wonderful school more comfortable and successful is to: give the students more transitioning time in the hall way so that majority of the students won’t be late and give the students more freedom so that we do not feel as if we’re held captive.

I’ve been enrolled in Rocky Mount Preparatory School since I was in the sixth grade. Now I am a senior in high school, and I would not recommend anyone to come to this school. The dress code seems to be more important than education, there are barely any teachers so just about every subject is online, and the school is very unorganized. Anytime there is a teacher or principal that we actually like, they are fired. Every principal was fired from last year, so now elementary, middle, and high school all share the same principal.
I first started at Rocky Mount Preparatory my 7th grade year. Once I reached high school it seemed to change drastically. They attempted a blended learning system which basically means we learn from computers which in my opinion was terrible. I felt like I wasn't learning anything because it seemed as if there were more ways to get around learning than in the classroom. Mr. Moore, the principal in my 11th grade year was the best. He made the whole school feel like a family and he tried his best to look out for us in more ways than one. I owe so much to him. My whole educational process was thanks to him and my college acceptances were thanks to his kind words. Other individuals were Ms. Robinson and Mrs. Thomas-Bullock and Mrs. Palmer. These three women helped me on this journey so much that the years without them seemed like they never existed they truly blessed me.
