Rocky Mount Prep is a very different school. It feels like a close knit community because everyone knows everyone. They could use some major improvision when it comes to academics and teachers. They barely have any permanent teachers. They do a great job at exposing high schoolers to college through dual enrollment and assistance in the college preparation process. Sports teams need better coaching, equipment, and uniform.
I have attended Rocky Mount Prep since elementary school. The school is pretty average when it comes to size. However, what is not average is how many substitute teachers they have teaching kids rather than actual certified teachers. The school is unorganized and often leaves parents in the dark about matters they have rights to know.
My name is DeAndra Bryant. I have been attending Rocky Mount Preparatory since kindergarten. A few things I was pleased by from Rocky Mount Preparatory School was: the extra curricular activities, the assembly’s, the teachers that cared about my education as if I were their child, etc. I am now a junior. A few things that could be changed to make this wonderful school more comfortable and successful is to: give the students more transitioning time in the hall way so that majority of the students won’t be late and give the students more freedom so that we do not feel as if we’re held captive.
