Proud of being a student at Rockville High School! There is a lot of diversity at this school but the ESOL community is still segregated. They have "their own hallway" which is the Spanish hallway. However, students refer to this in a negative light. The administration is strict and does their best to keep students safe, but they do not do much for social issues at the school. Academics are not the best and when teachers fail the students, the administration does nothing. They "train" the teachers but they call training letting the students fail for the rest of the year and hope for the best the next year. They claim the teacher will gain experience.

I am a freshman at Rockville High School. Rockville has a strong community. The teachers are so welcoming and understanding if you're have trouble in the school. Rockville is also very diverse. Our SGA is super involved with our student and admin, we recently had a virtual spirt week. Our sport had improved over the year. Our JV cheerleading got 3rd in their composition while varsity 4th. Our girl's/boy's soccer and field hockey are division and regional champs while our football and boy's basketball team are division. We had 2 runners go to the state indoor track championship and 2 diver win on a national level. Recently the girl's varsity basketball team made it to the states semi-finals before it was canceled because of the recent COVID-19 issues. RHS isn't perfect though we suffer from ESOL isolation, fights and bullying, and drug-related issues but the admin always gets right on it when they are notified. That's why I am proud to be a ram.
I graduated in 2017 with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. If your kid works hard, talks to their teachers, sets realistic goals and gets involved in one of the hundreds of clubs, they're going to do just fine in college. The programs are there if you look for them; nearly all of my friends were also in IB, or did AP or the STEM program!
