Very good elementary school with a great staff and great learning environment. The facility could use a face lift but I truly believe it is one of the public elementary schools in the entire state. Diverse backgrounds and growing area that has a great support system.
I entered as a homeschool student. The administration didn't test me to see what level I was at. They put me in the inclusion class because I was homeschooled. I was one year ahead of the other students, and I didn't receive challenging work, nor was I advanced to the next grade. I was bored. There seemed to be no recourse, although my parents did meet with the teacher and tried to rectify the situation. I know other children in my area who have attended there. Their experiences have been very positive. If I had it to do all over again, I would have gone in 3rd grade before starting to homeschool.
I was homeschooled before attending Rockvale Elementary. My curriculum at home was ABeka, and I was told I was one full year ahead of others in the same grade (4th). The teacher didn't recommend advancing me a grade, nor was I challenged in the class. I returned to homeschool as a result.
