I have had the privilege of attending Rock Ridge during my senior year.
Transferring to Rock Ridge from a different Loudoun County high school has proven to be night and day in terms of the social environment and climate.
From the social environment, to the clubs, to the academics, and fine arts, Rock Ridge truly has a place for all student from all backgrounds.
The building is still new and impeccably maintained.
From the moment I walked in, I truly felt at home.
Compared to other surrounding high schools in the county , Rock Ridge is either first or second in terms of diversity, academics, and clubs/ organizations which is excellent.
If I could nominate Rock Ridge for the best school nation-wide, I would.
However, athletics are rather sub-par when compared to most neighboring schools.
Nevertheless, the school community lives up to their motto of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
I have the admin, staff, and peers to thank for my enjoyable experience at The Rock!

The school is best known for its strong academic students, especially in AP courses, usually resulting around a 4 point average. Although, if you're a student looking for a high school dedicated to sports, this school may not be the best for you. County-based, Rock Ridge ranks low in our football team but pretty good in our Crew–so ultimately it depends, but we take more pride in our academics.

For theatre, tech and film students, this is possibly one of the BEST schools in all of Virginia that aids in the arts. I am a graphic designer and tech student for our club, Rock Ridge Performing Arts. We are ranked top 10 in the nation for our theatrics and have succeeded in preparing students into colleges such as Carnegie Mellon. I've learned more about marketing and film than any course could ever teach me and feel more than prepared for my future college in the arts.

Highly recommended! :)
Overall, Rock Ridge HS is an amazing high-school! Based on personal experience, most students at RR are academically inclined and thrive in an atmosphere where they feel challenged by their peers. The skills developed at RR will surely give students an advantage as they take on their future studies/career and their respective fields of interest.
