The teachers were very supportive of students futures and pushed them to do their best at what they are doing. If a student asks for help the teacher is willing to help. The school is very easy to get around. They also make big test fun to take so the student isn’t dreading on taking it and wanting to not be there. They are big on sports and willing to do whatever it takes to get the sports team publication. Unlike other schools Rock Island doesn’t just have the jocks take upon the school. Rock Islands music department also takes a huge part of the school. The music department is great at what they do. The principal actually showed up to all of the sports events, the music concerts, and ceremony’s. The teachers stand at the door and greets each and every student who comes through their door for class. The security guards are nice and willing to let a few things slide like tardiness but when something bad happens they are all for making the students in the school safe

Excellent teachers involved with students, go the extra mile assuring all students are learning at the highest standards of their ability. Curriculum is up to date, and availability of classes offered are significant. College prep classes are excellent. I feel challenged to do my best in all classes. The school facilities are excellent. The footall stadium is excellent, seats 15,000 and is beautiful. The field house is awesome and seats 6,400. The girls gym has been upgraded and has excellent amenities. The Little Theater and the large auditorium are art deco style and have been updated as well.
Rock Island High School is full of diversity. People of many ethnicity and backgrounds are enrolled in this school. I enjoy the kindness of the teachers and the very diverse environment. One thing I would definitely want to see an improvement on is the safety of the school. Being a new student from a mostly white suburban city, I had my doubts about my safety at this school. Another problem is the lack of money/the misuse of money. I feel that Rock Island High School should have more excess to better technology for their education.
