WOW. I'm a sophomore currently attending and the experience is awesome. Amazing teachers and classmates, lots of diversity, they help to make sure you're succeeding, and if I could give a higher rating than five stars for sports I would. So far, I've made a lot of friends from many different and diverse groups that will respect you for who you are. And the teachers, for the most part, are witty and fun. If I were to have only one complaint it would be the whole diversity equity and inclusion thing, all an implementation of critical race theory. But that's a district-wide issue. I LOVE this place wholeheartedly, and I would greatly consider giving back when I graduate from THE Rochester Adams High. GO HIGHLANDERS!
Rochester Adams has been ranked in the top five public high schools in Michigan multiple times (and with good reason). With excellent teachers, administration, and staff, students get a great education, as they are provided with an extensive and well-taught curriculum. School spirit is never low; you can see Highlander pride in every student and staff member, especially during events such as homecoming week, charity week, and sporting events. There are also many ways for students to get involved through clubs and sports. Although there are many positive things to be said about Adams, it is also a very competitive school. Because of this students are pushed to get good grades and take many AP classes, which can be a bit draining at times. Fortunately, this means students are well-prepared for college.
I got to develop relations with teachers, counselors, and students in a unique and personal way. I have grown academically and am grateful for how challenging it has been as it has only made me grow stronger and smarter. I have been well prepared for college and as well as any testing that will come from it. Many of my classes line up with each other and overlap which shows how each is beneficial to each other and the real world. Overall, I have had an excellent experience at Adams High school including athletics, academics, and relations.
