All of the IB and honors teachers are very passionate about their jobs, and I have learned so much from them. Administration cares about their students, too. I have had issues with other students, and my principle helped me feel comfortable in school again. The school cares about the mental health of their students and offers many opportunities for students to decompress and enjoy their high school experience. You have to attend at least one Robinson football game and join an arts program! All of the performing arts teachers are phenomenal and have nationally/globally ranked programs. Go rams!

Being an overpopulated secondary school, Robinson has great teachers with a background in their subject, training, and the want to help their students; the material and organizations taught (like AP and IB Diploma program) help prepare students for University. Robinson, being in Fairfax, Virginia is in a very safe area, as well as with a higher population of caucasian students, there is a decent amount of diverse background with it's students (considering it is in Northern Virginia). The sports programs, theatre and music programs offer a lot of options and excitement for students, along with the resources to get involved. Due to the high population of students at this secondary school, it is difficult to hear of all events happening if you don't check the website 24/7. With disadvantages of little food option and high competition; overall Robinson is a well rounded school giving children/students a lot of potential for their future.
Robinson is a great school for anyone that wants a rigorious academic opportunity. On the other hand, even if you may be very intellegient, a lot of your success depends on the teachers you get. You may be lucky and get all amazing teacher or you could end up with the worst. There’s always at least 2 terrible teachers for each year where doing well in the class is a struggle. This becomes especially hard for IB diploma candidates because sometimes it’s not that you aren’t smart, but the teacher is just bad and you unfortunately in turn do bad in the class. Also, moving more to clubs, there are many clubs but a lot of the focus is on sports. We do have an annual art show and drama people are very involved in the musicals and plays, but sports is still the main focus. Band and orchestra people are known as geeks and orchestra does not get a lot of the schools attention. If you want to have a chance at being popular at this school do a sport!
