I enjoyed my time at Turner. It offers very good opportunities to their students. Students have the chance to graduate high school with an associates degree with Alvin Community College. Turner also works with San Jacinto Community College for students to get their cosmetology certifications. I personally took the medical route. Students in the medical pathway have the opportunity to their their EMT Basic certification, dental assistant cert., CMA cert., and even Pharmacy Tech. There are lots of opportunities here.

For Robert Turner College and Career High School is a great school for career and college focused students. Instead of you average high school which focuses on sports and regular classes Turner puts a big emphasis on career in which it has many career courses and internships which ready students for the workplace. Many of the other schools send their students to learn more about the careers they wish to go into to Turner. Also Turner is a small school in which counselors and teachers are better equipped to help students. However, Turner doesn't have any sports or extracurricular activities like music or theatre which for some could be a disadvantage. However if a student wants to chase those passions they can travel to the nearby high schools and be apart of their program.
As I have only been at Robert Turner College and Career High School for only short of two-semester, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have had a lot of new experiences there. The teachers and staff are so wonderful as they truly care about pushing their students to succeed and are dedicated to teaching their students. The student population is always positive and there seem to be very few hateful groups within the environment. I am planning to stay at Turner High School for my entire high school career, but I do love this school a lot. The Alvin Community College professors are always willing to tutor their students, such as me, and always make sure they are on the path to graduate with their associate's degree. The counselors always check on their students to help them reach their career goals. The different pathways that Turner has to offer are, arguable, the best in the state. I am very excited to see what Robert Turner College and Career High School has in store for me.
