Robert G. Cole is a military school on Fort Sam Airforce Base. Because of its nature, the school houses some of the most respectful people I have had the pleasure of talking to. The students know what is expected of them, and they take all the opportunities the school provides. Cole is constantly changing, and it adds new classes and invites students to try many academic ventures. Teachers love what they do and share their knowledge with the students well. Here at Cole, we incorporate a "flex" system, that is to say, our schedules are flexible. On certain days and during certain periods, we are allowed to visit another teacher's classroom, which allows us to study, catch up, or just hang out. Cole prepares students for college by providing college-level classes and higher-learning clubs. The education that a student receives at Cole is top-tier, and most of the students will enter college.
It's a pretty small school with the middle and high schools combined. Our current senior class has about 80 students, and there are about 360 kids in the high school. They praise athletics a lot here and we have had excellent sports programs such as, cross country, track, basketball, and powerlifting. Although if you're looking at joining football, look somewhere else, it's a weak program here. Academics are good, classes are small so you get 1:1 time with teachers. There is also an excellent JROTC program here.
For the year that I have been at Robert G Cole, I would say that the experience was very good, I though that all the instructors were fair and kind. The school was always pretty clean and was very good about celebrating students accomplishments. Only thing I would probably change would be to lighten the restrictions on the internet because it did sometime make it hard to access necessary websites for class.
