There's fights and bathroom vandalism somewhat often, with the occasional fire, but you should be fine. Our sports are pretty good, Girls Basketball won state 2 yrs ago. Teachers here are supportive the majority of the time. We have IB (Diploma) & AP courses here, but overall, we're not the greatest ranking school.
People normally hang with others in their race group, but there's good variation. The Music & Arts are still underfunded/appreciated. More cultural clubs are being created, like Asian, Latino, and Pan-African. You can typically find help. The sciences and such deserve more attention, too, especially Robotics and Drone Racing.
The food here isn't the best, but there's some good options. The front foyer, office, auditorium, ticketing booth, baseball field, parking lot, and shed have been remodeled this past summer-fall, but some other basic things have not been (completely) fixed or funded, such as water fountains. These improvements are a good start, better can be done.

High school is high school at the end of the day. However, there is little college preparedness unless you are in a college prep class like Avid. We have few resources here and the community does not get along well. The teachers are pretty good and the classes are ok. The diversity is excellent here and have people from many walks of life which is great.
I've really enjoyed attending Robbinsdale Cooper High School these last four years. This year has obviously been different what with everything being online. But my previous three years have been great. Of course there has been ups and downs but I've made some lasting friendships at Cooper and it's been a good high school experience. I was able to participate in many of the bands Cooper offered. I was in jazz band, pep band, marching band, pit orchestra. They were all great experiences. I really liked the community marching band had to offer. I was an incoming freshman when I started and the group of kids was very welcoming. They helped teach me many of the skills I now have. Jazz band was fun despite the early mornings but it was again a really good group of kids. Pep band was fun because I got to go to our girls' basketball state tournament and they even made it to state my freshman year. Overall, I really have enjoyed my experience at Cooper.
