My experience at RCHS is somewhat average but my high school is limited on opportunity and expansion. Roane County High School is situated in the middle of Kingston, TN on Watts Bar Lake and is landlocked without any room for expansion. There is a problem with bats and in need of repair. Although our school is competitive in athletics, our facilities are not. Our football field is on campus but every sport aside from those using the gymnasium is located at other locations in the county.
Academically, RCHS has required course loads but very limited in specialty and elective courses. In comparing other high schools in the area, I do feel regret that I wasn't given those same opportunities. I believe I have learned enough to further my education at a university yet scared that the lack innovation in our high school will put me behind other college entering freshmen. As for the faculty, I am grateful for certain teachers that have pushed me to be better and strive harder.

At Roane County High- school most teachers do an amazing job with teaching and helping the students who need it and letting the students who excel to excel. Although the diversity at the school is on the lower end all students still have wonderful opportunities to excel. Clubs at Roane County High are extremely good at what they stand for and do in each club. They encourage to get involved with anything and everything that a student can. Overall the school does well to prep students for whatever path they take after high school wether that be trade school, college, or entering the workforce.
It’s a huge school with a wide range of possibilities! The funding is low, so the building isn’t the nicest, but the programs try their best to get the students out and about! The classes are interactive and the teachers try to make the lessons fun. I would say, this school is definitely a winner on my bored.
