Riverstone is a wonderfully unique school where students feel a sense of community, enjoy small class sizes, have meaningful class discussions along with close relationships with their teachers and are exposed to amazing outdoor experiences. Riverstone has been a truly beneficial place for all three of our children and has given them all a feeling of self reliance while providing a community that they feel very much a part of. We feel so fortunate that Riverstone is in Boise and that we can educate our children in such an intelligent, engaging and openminded forum while preparing them for college and beyond. Riverstone is a gem!
Review Riverstone International School
I went to Riverstone for all four years of high school and I came in my freshman year as a subpar human and graduated this spring as a much better person in general, as a more intelligent person, and a much more driven person. My change throughout those four years can be attributed to Riverstone. It was a small community that became like a second home to me. The teachers are among the best of the best in my opinion - they devote extra time and energy to making sure you're not only succeeding in the classroom but are also succeeding in Riverstone's community. I got a phenomenal IB education in the classroom and then got to experience the outdoors through Riverstone's awesome outdoor education program. Riverstone prepared me academically but also positively shaped me as a person, I would highly recommend this school to anyone.
As a Class of 2009 alum, Riverstone made me grow as an academic and student of life during my time there as well as ever since I graduated. The community you stay connected with upon attending and graduating is strong and cares about each and every one of its members. The Outdoor Program imprinted upon me the importance of getting outside and learning from the world in that manner as well as reading a book to learn. The International Baccalaureate Diploma got me 1 year of credit in college, which meant I saved money and got to jump into my professional life earlier than most of my peers. Additionally, the effort the school puts into bringing international students into our classes greatly affected my view of the world and how it worked. A lot of my best friends live around the world. Overall, great educational experience that has stayed with me and supported me ever since I started there as a sixth grader in 2001.
