As one of the 'wealthy Chinese' students that was mentioned in the previous comment, I have something to say. Yes, our 'wealthy' parents are paying roughly 40K per year in hope of getting their children a better/different education. Here at Riverstone, the teaching quality varied GREATLY and I really meant it. I met some of the best teachers in Riverstone who are so passionate about teaching and sincerely care about their students, but some teachers seemed unqualified for their jobs. IB diploma is a rigorous program, yet some of the teachers have such limited knowledge about the subject itself! It's somehow horrifying. After I came to University, comparing to the folks who did IB in Asian countries, I felt like I have so much catch-up to do. The previous comment about math is absolutely true...
Undeniably, I had so many great experiences at Riverstone, the small community, the outdoor education, etc, but I also have to admit that the education I'm getting here is not worth 40K.

Riverstone helped my sons develop both the skillset and mindset to be successful in college and beyond. Both transitioned to college smoothly thanks to the excellent faculty, personal attention in small classes, and International Baccalaureate programs. They learned to write well, present publicly, speak a second language, and plan for long-term projects. They learned to think and advocate for themselves, while gainer a broader sense of the world thanks to their international classmates. The outdoor program adventures, music program, and discussions with teachers and classmates will long be remembered as highlights of their middle and high school years. As parents, we firmly believe that the combination of opportunities, the IB curriculum, excellence in teaching, and school community made our sons' education exceptional.
I liked the teachers, except you fired them all now - or they left because they were underpaid and disheartened. I enjoyed not having homework, I didn't enjoy getting to college and not knowing how to do math. Diverse if you enjoy exclusively wealthy Chinese students! Excellent marketing department, as well as the brain-washing department. We love bob, do not think any of this is his his fault. Sincerely alumni (yes it's plural, Bc we know Latin)
