Yes, we are "that school with a zoo," though more accurately, it is a barnyard. I've gone to Riverfield since I was 2 years old, so understandably it has become my second home. The teachers here genuinely care about every student, and the low teacher to student ratio makes it so that you form great relationships with your teachers. The community makes you feel safe and free to be yourself. Students are able to be apart of whatever extracurricular they'd like, whether that be debate, drama, tennis, basketball, rock band, student government, etc., and however many they'd like as every team and club is welcoming to beginners. The small numbers allow for a great environment for learning and growth, though it limits the pool of people you can become friends with. Overall, amazing school!
I love Riverfield Country Day School! Due to the small school environment, I know just about everyone. I love the curriculum and how caring the teachers are. They are invested in you as a person rather than just another student.
I will say that one draw back is not being able to find new friend groups due to the small school environment. However, you can always sit with some one and know who they are.

My child attends the lower school and I love it! I see some comments regarding politics. I have not had any issues with this. The school is very welcoming and yet conservative in keeping its focus on education. It is fun seeing them sing songs and play outside as I did as a child.
