As a Riverdale Warrior, we have a lot of school spirit. Every time we would have a pep rally at the gym, everyone is in their school colors, school spirit, chanting chants, and most importantly having fun. Academic wise, teachers at Riverdale will always help you. They'll never leave you hanging. From my experience, id say that Riverdale is one of a kind. All of my aunts and Uncles went to Riverdale. Its funny how my aunt still chants one of the chants and shes been out of high school for 15 years! Isn't that crazy?

Riverdale has been a second home to me. This school has great school spirit and Mr.Nance always has the best energy. The teachers are always there for their students and will help in any way you need. Teachers push you to do you best and they want to to strive for greatness. Teachers also love to help students practice for the ACT which is a big deal for the school and students. Riverdale offers so many pathways and get connections to jobs out in the real world. We have classes from Teaching as a Profession where you work with kids to agriculture where the classes take care of animals. We also offer many clubs and sports to join making it easy to connect with people. We have the greatest student section in Rutherford County where we love to cheer on our Warriors on Friday! These four years at Riverdale have taught me many things about myself and skills I can use for the rest of my life.
I’m going to be completely honest, one year out of high school, I now realize that Riverdale did not prepare me for college whatsoever. The academics are mediocre, teachers are hit or miss and if you or your student plan on going to an out of state school, don’t expect help from the guidance department. They focus on getting students to MTSU or Motlow and that’s really it. I had good memories and the school OVERALL isn’t terrible, just don’t expect to get the same education as more predominant states and school systems.
