Riverdale High School is an amazing School for academics. There are many programs for students depending on what they wish to do after high school. The IB program is for advanced students that wish to go to college after high school. There are programs for students that do not wish to go to college after school which helps them in finding trades and/or job opportunities available to them.
Riverdale also gets students involved. There are many clubs such as the NHS, Key Club, Gaming, GSA, Chess, and more! There are also many athletic teams that students can get involved in such as track, football, baseball, softball, cheerleading, dance team, flag team, and more. The list goes on and on. An amazing thing about Riverdale is also that if there is not a club or sport that does not exsist at the school, if the student can find a sponsor in one of the teachers as well as other students that would like to be members, then they can create the club!

It’s very good, some classes are challenging and that’s what we need. The teachers help us learn more. If we don’t get a material, we have tutoring. Sports are very involving. There are sports that everyone can join like soccer, basketball, football, softball, volleyball, and dance teams. The clubs are interactive, but more clubs should be added. The clubs, such as National Honor Society, encourage us to help our community. We try to help the community by serving them. International Club adds to our knowledge of the world. It expands our view and knowledge of different cultures around the world.
The school pretty much very ignorant of the environment and the students who are not in the IB program . The school also does not have preparation for college-entry exams. The administration is more concerned with hustling us making sure that we have expensive school apparel on instead of the safety of our school. In 9th grade, I was wearing a non Riverdale jacket because it was 40 degrees and I had gotten my jacket taken. They stuff 900+ kids in 1 set of bathrooms despite the fact that we have about 6 sets. The bathrooms in general are very unsanitary and hot. Students only have set times to go to the bathroom; sometimes the teacher does not allow the student to go then after they must wait an additional 20 minutes. On our everyday schedule the bathroom is closed for 45 minutes and those who have emergencies end up getting a lunch detention if they use the restroom. The cafeteria is unsanitary and food is under-cooked. The school also hustles us out of our money every chance they get
