Some of the pros of Riverdale Baptist School were small class sizes, IPAD classroom technology and a very competitive sports and choir programs. However, the school was unable to recruit and keep many good teachers, most were average and several were bad enough that they left or were fired during the school year. There was constant staff turnover and this resulted in subpar academics in many classes. The administration was never really responsive and the school needs many physical repairs. The tuition increased, but the services decreased. Every year, there was an increase in students leaving for other schools.

I went to Riverdale for 8 years (graduated in 2018). Riverdale was like a family. Our classmates were like siblings to us and the (good) teachers like second parents and they genuinely cared; but, if you told me years ago that Riverdale would OVER prepare me for college, I would've laughed in your face. Now I've realized, after spending a year at my top choice school, that Riverdale really is what you make of it. If you put in your all, you'll reap the benefits.

From 5th grade to graduation, tools like effective study habits/ time management/ social skills/ work ethic were instilled in me. The entire time I went there, they had an inflated view of college they sold to us ( like it was going to be a boot camp where nobody cared, there'd be mountains of work, and all the exams would be back-breaking) and they held us to that standard. I braced for that and, I swear to you, my first year of college was like summer camp in comparison.
Riverdale Baptist School is deeply rooted in faith and puts salvation first, which is one of the things I love most about learning there. Due to the small student to teacher ratio, there are smaller classrooms, which makes it much easier for students to have a relationship with the teachers, as well as fellow classmates.
