Riverbend High School is an excellent academic high school. It provides a student with a well-rounded education to get them ready for life beyond graduation. There are great teachers who truly care about a students education. The teachers don't just work for a paycheck, but work to change a students perspective on life and education. Riverbend has average diversity, but since it is based in a rural area it's more or less what you would expect. Riverbend has had its incidents when it comes to diversity beyond race. It's had many misunderstandings of cultural diversity, but nonetheless Riverbend has been able to thoroughly resolve each of those issues in a quick and reasonable manner. Therefore, I would have to say that Riverbend High School is a great place for a student to go if they are truly invested in their future academically and for extra-curriculars.

The teachers are very committed to helping you with whatever you need as long as you ask! For example, one teacher stayed after school everyday for two weeks before an AP exam, and while maybe three students showed up each day, the educator still continued to dedicate himself and his time to be available for anyone willing to help themselves.
At Riverbed high school, I have a significant amount of opportunities to learn what I wish. I get as much out of the school as I put into it and although that seems like a generic quality of life, it is especially true at Riverbend. People, such as myself, can excel in school and focus without being effecting, or being effected by, other students who wish to focus more or less than I. While keeping this, the staff at Riverbend is also aware that there are minimums that students need to meet and they are not afraid to push for them. These two things combined create a beautiful environment that stimulates growth and college readiness . I would like to say, however, the marching band needs new uniforms! I recognize the amazing privileges I have at Riverbend, especially the Common Wealth Governor's School program which offers opportunities for me to learn at a faster rate than I would taking the same courses with a different set of teachers and/or students.
