I think that this school is one of those that not everyone can fit into. There are certain biases that would not make this school very suitable for some. I think that there are things that are getting better with time, but you can't change culture but you can change the way you think. As for the teachers there I think that they are doing as well as they can be given their situation.
River Valley was a very interesting school to learn at. It is a very small school, so there were times that you were put into a class because it was the only one available. The school is also is a small town, so everyone knew everyone and everything that happened. With River Valley being a small school it was also hard to learn in certain classes because there were those who did not want to take the class. They would make it very hard for the people who actually wanted to take that class to learn. It was also very hard for students to suggest any tips to help. Anytime we tried to make suggestions or tips to improve learning, we were met with obstinance and no cooperation.
While there were a lot of problems that made our school very difficult to be in, it is overall a pretty good school. It prepared us for some real life and the administration tried their best with what they were given.

I feel as if SOME teachers could careless about their students. Don't get me wrong, there are some great teachers at River Valley. However, certain teachers are just there for the money. Our activities at River Valley are something to be proud of. We have a really great speech program, our softball team made it to state this past summer, and I feel as if we are building up our sports system again. As for other activities, FCCLA, Art Club, Spanish Club (no longer exist for this year) they really don't do a whole lot. Art Club goes on one trip and most of the kids in it are only in it to get out of school. FCCLA hasn't really done much in the past but I think we are beginning to do more not only for us but for the community. As for the students, we are all pretty welcoming. We all get along with one another usually. Sure we have our down days, but what school doesn't have those. For the most part, River Valley has been a great place to learn and grow as a person.
