The teachers are awesome but the students seem to lack ambition. I have never seen so many Fs and Ds in my US History class out of all the students in the room. Then I also see a bunch of kids vaping or doing drugs in the bathrooms during class transitions. It's kind of depressing. Teenagers are also shallow and judgmental with poor work ethic. I can't really fix them though. Also while we have many exciting clubs, I'm disappointed that they're all scheduled on every other Wednesday for 30 minutes before school instead of being distributed across the week. So if I like Chess, Art, and Book club, I can only do one of them every 2 weeks. Apart from all that, the teachers & staff are very supportive and devoted to teaching and I'm happy about it! We also have this reward system with Rock'n'Hawk tickets that can be traded for big prizes like bags of candy or hard cover notebooks!

I started attending River Ridge High School my 11th grade year. There is so much diversity in this school when kept me in awe. They have so many classes and sport to choose from, which my last high school didn't have. I met so many different people, which I am now close friends with many of them! I'm very grateful for having this experience of being in this school.
Overall my high school experience at this high school has been adequate. I’ve been really lucky to have amazing parents who have good jobs and are able to afford many of the necessities or at least technology that provides advantages for me to do well in school. Some of the teachers there are extremely helpful and are there for the students. Other teachers are either too strict and unfair or are way too lenient to the students. From the sports teams that I’ve noticed, the coaches are biased to certain students. The administration can be helpful but not always. Sometimes you are forced to figure things out yourself. The high school does not really help students prepare for college because they baby the students who are academically struggling which is nice for the students but college will not be that nice to the students.
