Academically, River Falls High School is a great school to attend. The grading scale if fairly difficult but nothing too hard. There are plenty of AP classes and a wide variety of academic subjects. They have a youth options course with the UWRF for students surpassing high school classes. Sports, however, are tied up in last name politics and coaches favorites. The clubs and activities are fun and interesting, with more clubs being formed yearly. For education and clubs, River Falls is a great high school. For sports, not so much.

My Child is in the Marching Band and Jazz Band. Through great instruction from the RFHS instructors, he made it to Honor Band and Solo Ensemble. What's important is to hear each professional judge compliment my Son's Band and Jazz teachers praise for how they inspire and work with him to perform at his best. So, I too give the RFHS praise for the great music/band program they offer.
I very much enjoy the atmosphere. Teaches are generally accepting people and due to years of anti-bullying campaigns, bullying is now much better--and this is coming from an LGBTQ student.
