Overall going to high school here was a lot of fun. Some people (including myself) did have issues with certain policies only pertaining to certain students. Ex. Student athletes could were short shorts but other girls would be sent to the office or sent home for doing so. The counselors were really great with current issues (personal or grades) but were not helpful at all with anything pertaining to college. They had little to no knowledge of what to do after the application process. I had to figure it all out on my own but I was still able to manage. Sports and AP programs are great. Highly recommend taking AP courses, the teachers are all great!

My experience at Rio Rancho High School has overall been a positive in my life. The school helps you out and has teachers that care about you, also the school spirit is amazing! I've made friendships with teachers and students by partcipating in some of the clubs they offer. If I was to change one part of Rio Rancho High School it would be the math department. My experience with the math department has not been the best. They need to hire math teachers that won't quit there jobs in the school year and are willing to offer tutoring.
My personal experience at Rio Rancho high school was good. I’m describing it as just “good” because it wasn’t great. I could see improvements within the athletic system and coaches. I played high school soccer but I believed the coach just picked players off of politics. Also the coach could treat the girls better. Other than that, I enjoyed the soccer program. The education could improve. They say we are being prepared for the future and college but I don’t think that is true. The student section for football and basketball games are awesome. It is so much fun if you try to make every game with a group of friends wearing blue and green. If you are involved with the school, your high school years will be awesome!
