One thing I would like to change about Rio Lind High School is the cleanliness. I feel like the classroom floors are always covered with loose dirt, and I have nowhere to set my backpack during class. Other than that, Rio Linda has great teachers and many Advanced Placement classes to choose from. There are lots of clubs, athletics, and school activities to participate in as well!
Rio Linda High School has been a very open school for all their students. Although there are some elements of the school that aren’t the best. For example, our staff don’t take action in certain areas. As of recently we received threats and as a student I felt as we did not take proper precautions at that time. As well as the school did poor to inform our parents/ guardians. Although Rio Linda has always held themselves to a high standard they do well with providing a good and diverse environment for their students.
I love the teachers and staff there. I would have great conversations about history, cultures, politics, and basically anything controversial. Most of these teachers defy who I am today. They taught me how agree/disagree. My high school life would not have been good without the evolvement of clubs and Leadership. The Leadership class over there is very charismatic and joyful with their bright ideas being made everyday. As a Leadership Alumni, my senior year was taken away by a pandemic but the love and effort by all teachers and staff has encourage me to push myself harder as a college student. I will remember Rio Linda High as my second home and a place I promise to visit after this pandemic is over. One thing that should change is the lack of maturity from high schoolers. Littering everywhere on the campus makes the school look like a dumpster. Bathrooms are not dumpsters too. The school needs to be kept clean to have the appropriate learning environment for all students.
